NEW SHOW AT THE WELD - Sheila's Island'  We have a performance by Bare Naked Theatre opening this week Thursday 18 June.  "Sheila's Island" features some familiar Busselton performers, and will show at the Weld Theatre from 18-28 June 2026.  See details of show times below.  You can get your tickets at www.trybooking.com/DMCRF .  Don't delay!  Scroll down to the bottom of this newsletter for all the details. 1.  The Weld Theatre re-opens
With the production of "All Because of Agatha", the heritage-listed Weld Theatre was once again swamped with crowds of enthusiastic community members, eager to experience live theatre.  The Opening Gala Night was a sold-out event, with much glamour and frivolity, as ticket- holders toasted the significant occasion with champagne and delicious food.  The celebrations continued over two weekends as our fantastic cast, crew and many volunteers ensured that the audiences were treated to a long-awaited theatre experience.

2.  DIRECTORS WANTED
Ever wanted to direct a play?  We are currently calling for directors, experienced or aspiring, to be part of our performance program.  Expressions of interest can be made on the form below and sent to this email: creativecoordinator.bsnrep@gmail.com .  Come on.  Why not find out more!
** The committee will accept one proposal per year, per director. If a script cannot be provided yet, or assistance is required for the selection of a play, please contact Janet or Leanne at creativecoordinator.bsnrep@gmail.com or call on 0498 581 454. A library of scripts is available and we also welcome locally written scripts for consideration. Changes to a play’s script already approved or the preferred time of the year may not always be possible but we will try to facilitate all requests. It is the policy of the Club that in the case of a ‘first time’ Director, a One Act Play is selected for the BRC One Act Play season, with ongoing support from a Director known to the Club. All applications will be contacted individually once the selection process has been completed for the 2027 programme. We look forward to receiving your application.

3.  Front-of-hose crew & Volunteers are welcome
We are always looking for new volunteers to welcome our audiences as they arrive, check tickets and serve at intermission.  How about helping us out and having a great time as well.  Please contact John Lee at johnlee8@mac.com . 
Our recent production was truly an amazing success, thanks to the efforts of many dedicated workers.  Designing a set, painting, costuming, advertising, cleaning, decorating, rehearsing, make-up, acting, sound & light, technical, stage management, music and more.  All of these roles and more contribute to a really fun and satisfying team effort to bring a performance to life.  Does this sound like it's of interest to you?  Get in touch now.  Our secretary awaits your enquiry at  secretary.bsnrep@gmail.com .

6.  Final works at the Weld Theatre
